Five Question Friday

This is my first Five Question Friday. These questions are hosted by

1. If you could buy any car, money not an option, what would it be? I'm not really into sports cars so I would have to say a fully loaded Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. They're nice cars that have plenty of room for me.

2. What was your worst first date ever? My worst first date ever would have to be when we went to his friend's apartment and they started drinking. My date didn't drink more than 2 or 3 beers, but he was very touchy-feely and I was uncomfortable.

3. How old were you when you fell in love for the first time? I was 17 when I fell in love for the first time.

4. When was the last time you reconciled your checkbook? Seeing as how I work at the credit union where my checking account is, I reconcile it everyday.

5. If you were going to fashion a "Wanted" Ad for a best friend, how would you word it? "Wanted: A man willing to be supportive no matter what, and able to go along with the twists and curves of life."

Thoughtful Thursday

This is a new thing I'm going to start doing every week. I'm not exactly sure of how this is going to progress, but over time it will take shape.

My thoughts for today:
1. I love my boyfriend. He was the first person I talked to today when he called this morning. It was quite nice.
2. I think gas prices are outrageous and need to go back down to under $2.
3. Although it's windy, today is a beautiful day. With all the rain we've had, I was starting to forget what the sun looked like.
4. This quarter of school sucks.
5. I'm excited to move.
6. I wish I didn't have class tonight.
7. I need to make a new mixed CD for my car. Yes, I have and iPod, but it's so much easier to just have the CD already in my car when I start it.
8. I named my car Stella.

Grrr...

Lately, there have been a lot of people saying "You didn't call me", a few of which were to me. And as you may or may not know, I'm a nice person and don't really talk back to anyone if I can help it. But recently, this phrase has been a major annoyance. Everytime I hear it or someone says it to me, the first thing that pops into my head is "The phone works both ways." Seriously. I have my own cell phone so they don't have to worry about someone else picking it up. If someone wants to talk to me, they just call me. It's not an inconvenience or anything. I'm not going to know someone wants to talk to me unless they call me and tell me so. Like 99.9% of the world's population, I can't read minds.

Thanks for letting me rant. I feel better now.

The Weekend

The end of the weekend has come and gone, and now it's bright and early Monday morning. Well, it's more rainy than bright, and it's not all that early anymore...

However, that's beside the point. The point is, this is my first weekend recap. So here goes...

Friday was Good Friday. I had the day off work, and I spent some time with the BFF and her beautiful little girl. We went to lunch at TGI Friday's and then to Ashley Furniture. Warning: We walked around the entire store and not a single salesperson came up to us or tried to help us! After that we parted ways, as it was naptime for a certain little girl. After that, Zach and I went to the mall. I did a return and looked for a new purse, but no such luck. Our friend Ali works at Buffalo Wild Wings. Every Friday night she works until midnight and Zach and I made it our weekly thing to go there and hang out after she gets off work. It's always a fun time to relax and enjoy each other's company.

Saturday I slept in until noon! I never sleep in that late! But it did feel nice...

Saturday was a pretty boring day. I didn't do much of anything. I decided that since my desk was falling apart, I didn't see the point of moving to the new house when I'm going to replace it. So part of my day was taken up by packing everything in my desk and breaking down my desk into smaller pieces. That took all of and hour and a half. Then I went to dinner with the family. Talk about an exciting day...

Sunday was Easter. The family went to church at 10:30 mass (as always), and then I went to Zach's house. I got to see his brother Matt and family for a little bit before they went to Sarah's family get-together. I didn't stay very long because of dinner with my family, but as I was leaving, Zach's oldest brother Christopher and his family showed up. I didn't get to see Brian and Kellie and Karalee, but judging by the pictures that were posted last night, everyone had fun. When I got home, the family was watching "The Wizard of Oz" on blu-ray. While dinner was being prepared, we put on "The Sound of Music". It was the first time I had seen the movie all the way through in a long time. Sunday was a good day (minus the rain).

Have a great week!

Love to all.

New Blog Title?

This is where I need your input. The title of this blog is short, sweet, and to the point, but it needs something more. "Blog" is too bland for my tastes. What do you think?

Work Week

I've decided I'm going to do posts at the end of the work week and at the end of the weekend. So here goes my first work week post...

Tomorrow is Good Friday and the credit union is closed so the work week ended today. Since I'm currently taking classes, my schedule is pretty regular when it comes to work and school:
Monday: Work 9am - 5pm, Class 6pm - 8:45pm
Tuesday: Work 9am - 11:30am, Class 12:30pm - 1:45pm, Work 2:30pm - 5pm
Wednesday: Work 9am - 5pm
Thursday: Work 9am - 11:30am, Class 12:30pm - 1:45pm and 6pm - 8:45pm
Friday: Work 10am - 5:45pm

Tuesday evening was nice and relaxing. Zach and I met up with some friends at South Park Tavern and ate some delicious pizza. While there I got a text from a coworker, who is opening a coffee shop, to come see the coffee shop. It looks really good! If you're interested here is the link to his Facebook page: . This is usually my coffee night with a few friends, but I forgot about it this week and by the time I got home, I was running late and I still had a lot of homework that needed done.

Wednesday I got my hair trimmed. It hasn't been cut since December so I figured it was time for at least a trim. I went to Books & Co. with the family and bought 2 new books which I'm really excited to read, if I had the time. Hopefully Summer doesn't take too long to get here... :)

Today between classes Zach and I went to TJ Maxx and had lunch. I found 2 shirts at TJ Maxx, one of which goes with a new skirt I just bought for my cousin's wedding in 2 weeks. So yay! We went to Steak n Shake for lunch and it was delicious!

Now that I've bored you to death, I'm going to leave you with this: "No matter where you go, that's where you'll be."

Sophia Ray

This is my Goddaughter. Her name is Sophia Ray. She is also my niece. Well, not biologically, but her mom, Kate, and I are so close that we're practically sisters. This picture was just taken Sunday. I like how the light catches her face in just the right spots. It's angelic, as Kate said. :) She is such a photogenic little girl and I've always loved taking pictures of her, especially of her adorable face!

New

I'm never very good at updating these, but with this one I'm going to set goals. First, I plan on updating at least once a week, if not more. Second, I would like to obtain a few followers because this will become my main storyteller. These are the only two goals I have as of right now, but more will come I'm sure. So for now, I leave you with this:

Welcome to my blog!
