New Name

As you may or may not have noticed, the name of my lovely blog has changed.
And with a new blog name, I decided to change the layout (which was done 2 weeks ago).

We've gone from

"Not A Traditional Storyteller"
"Incredible Little Moments"

What do you think?
I love it!

The quote I have in the header is a favorite and it really relates with how I look at life.
Just look at my reminder on my last post!

I believe that if a person waits for that one big moment, life is going to pass them by and they might not understand the happiness that comes from the incredible little moments.

Hopefully, you lovelies don't get too confused when you see the new blog name on your side bar! :)

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Today I’m linking up with Jamie at This Kind Of Love for

I’m loving… this fabulous fall weather! Today’s high here in southwest Ohio is 65 degrees.

I’m loving… the progress that’s being made on the basement. See this post about the big hole. I’ll be posting before, during and after pictures once everything is finished.

I’m loving… the fact that I have a job. I may not always like my job, but I’m thankful that I still receive a paycheck in this economy.

I’m loving… Frisch’s Pumpkin Pie! Yum!

And finally,

I’m loving… this man right here. He’s such a goof, but he’s my goof and I love him to pieces.

What are you loving on this Wednesday?

Sunday Digging

You see this man?
This is my dad.

Today we spent together digging.

You see this hole?
My dad and I dug it up.

It's 54 inches deep, 8 feet wide, and at least 36 inches away from the house.
I think we spent 4 hours digging up this hole, and I am exhausted!
My hands and arms are in pain, and I know that tomorrow I'm going to be feeling so much worse.

This is all for a good cause.
My dad and a few other people are currently building my bedroom, along with other rooms, in the basement.
And that glass-block window will no longer be there, but an egress window will be.
Hence the reason for the hole.
I'm really excited! Like, really super excited!!
I'll be in the basement, but I'll have a "normal" size window!!

I think the window is supposed to be delivered this week, so hopefully I'll have pictures by next weekend. Maybe.
Just so you know, I will definitely be doing a post after all is said and done of before, during and after.
But that won't be for another month or longer.

So, how was your weekend?
Did you do any hard work around the house?

Isn't it lovely... log in and see that you have more followers?
I think it is!!
I have now hit 40 followers and I'm freaking excited about it!
I think I might want to host a giveaway if I hit 50 followers...maybe...

Also, remember this post?
I'm still thinking about changing, but I have yet to come up with a good name.
So keep an eye out!
There will be a change, and it will be awesome! Or so I think...

Anyways, have a great weekend and I hope to read about it on Monday!! :)

A Trip to the Zoo

As promised, I am finally able to post about my trip to the zoo on Sunday!

BFF and I went to the Columbus Zoo with her daughter, who I'm going to call Little Miss.
They have a Fall Fest and that was the last day.
We went and saw most of the exhibits and a show that was put on by Jack Hanna!
He talked about different animals, such as the penguin, the flamingo, and the cheetah.
It was so much fun and Little Miss had such a blast!
She walked most of the day and hardly ever wanted to get into her stroller.
After we ate lunch, we had looked a few more animals, and BFF's foot started hurting.
We sat down and Little Miss wanted to get in her stroller.
Within 10 minutes, she was asleep.
It was so cute.
I would post a picture of her, but BFF doesn't want me to.
She slept for about 30 minutes and woke up right after we saw the last animal.
After that she stayed awake for most of the drive home.

I had so much fun as did BFF and Little Miss.
I want to go to the Cincinnati Zoo now.
Maybe Love and I will have to plan a Saturday.

So, without further adieu, here are lots of pictures of the day!
{Side note: There are at least 25 pictures and plenty more that I took.}

Day 4: Fall Decorating

Day {FOUR} Fall Decorating

I’m linking up again today with Neely and Amber for the Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge, and today is about Fall Decorating!

Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge

For the whole season of Autumn, we always have these on our porch.

Instead of changing decorations every month, (pumpkins and straw in September, Halloween decorations in October, and Thanksgiving decorations in November) we usually only have pumpkins.
Sometimes they’re carved, and sometimes they’re left alone to show their natural beauty (mainly because there wasn’t time to carve them.)
So we pretty much only have pumpkins in the Fall.

What do you decorate with for the season?
Do you do the same decorations every year?

Day 3: Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge

Day {THREE} What do you do for Halloween/a Halloween memory

Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge

I’m linking up with Neely and Amber for their Fabulous Fall Blog Challenge, which is going on for two weeks and today is Day 3! :)

I don’t really have a Halloween tradition.
My youngest brother and sister carve pumpkins, but that’s something I’m not always there for, so I don’t consider it a yearly thing for me.
I do have many memories of Halloween, though, one of which is a favorite. :)

When I was about 5 or 6 years old, I was a cheerleader for Halloween and my brother was a die. {Like dice, but only one.}
My dad had painted a cardboard box white, and put black dots on it.
We had one jack-o-lantern bucket and a Halloween bag to collect our candy in.
Because my brother couldn’t put his hands together to open the bag, he got to carry the bucket and I had to carry the bag.
I was so upset, because I wanted to carry the bucket.
All the other kids had buckets, and I wanted one as well.
As the night went on, I realized that the bag was better than the bucket, because it gave me more room to put candy in.
I obviously felt better about having the bag instead of the bucket.

I think this Halloween stands out to me because it was before my parents divorce and it was fun.
It is also quite possibly the first Halloween I remember.

Do you have any Halloween traditions?
What about favorite memories?
Link up with Neely and Amber and share!

I hope you all are having a fabulous Wednesday!

The Weekend: Part 1

This past weekend was a really busy one, so I'll be posting about it in two posts.
So here goes part one!
(Disclaimer: There may or may not be tons of photos.)

Friday night, Love and I went to our friend's apartment and played Monopoly.

We played the Here and Now: World Edition.
Love decided that once he had a monopoly he was going to build hotels.
All over the board.
(the houses are mine)

It was only a matter of time before he bankrupted all of us.
I was the first one out.
As the game continued, our two friends decided that they needed to go to bed because of work in the morning and it was, oh, 1 in the morning.
So we ended the game, and Love and I left.

I got home that night to find a few things from a child lingering.
(sorry, it's a little blurry)
This little guy stayed the night.
So on Saturday, I spent time with him.

This little guy is my nephew.
(love him!)

My baby brother has old Tonka trucks that my parents kept so he loves playing with them.

When he wasn't playing with trucks, or "crucks" as he calls them, he was helping my dad and stepmom clean up the garden on the side of the garage.

He's such a great helper!
And he talks up a storm! Even to himself! It's so cute! I love it!

On Sunday, I went to the zoo with BFF and her daughter and there are so many pictures that I took, that it gets it's own post.
Come back this week for that! :)
