Cousin's Baby Shower

Saturday was my cousin's baby shower.
She is due December 7th with Baby Girl.

My aunt hosted the shower with the Daddy's mom.
I got there about 30 minutes before it started and took some pictures.
The cake that was actually cupcakes.

Party favors with an adorable poem. :)

Table centerpieces.

While I was taking pictures, my aunt asked me if I could take them for the rest of the shower and I agreed.

The shower was so much fun.
We played games...
...such as Bingo, and Clean/Dirty Diaper.

Each person who brought diapers and wipes received a number and there was a drawing at the end of the shower.
We also measured ribbon to guess how big Mommy was.
Grandma-to-be is measuring ribbon.

I didn't win any prizes, but my sister and my sister-in-law did.

Here are some pictures of Mommy opening gifts.

After opening half of the gifts, my aunt decided it would be nice to take a break and eat some cake.

I took this as an opportunity to take some pictures of people chitchatting.

Mommy then opened the rest of her gifts.

There are way more pictures than what I'm posting.

After she finished opening her gifts, everyone pretty much left.
I stayed and helped clean up.

Mommy wanted me to take some pictures of her and my aunt, and a few others.
Mommy and Uncle D.

Great-Grandma, Grandma, and Mommy.
A pre-four generation photo.

Grandma and Mommy.

Grandma and Mommy.

All in all it was a great day.
Mommy had fun, and got a lot of great things for Baby Girl.
She is one spoiled little girl, and she's not even here yet! :)

I hope you all had a great weekend!

And She Thinks We're Just Fishin'

My dad has five kids. I'm his oldest.
And yes, I still live at home.

As you know, or may not know, we've been doing construction in our basement for a bedroom for me, and a few random other things.
Well, I've been helping out and a couple of times it was just me and my dad.

Remember this post?
About this hole?

While we were digging this hole, this song came on the radio:

We were both listening and singing along, and when the chorus came on, instead of singing "...and she thinks we're just fishin'", my dad sang "...and she thinks we're just digging a hole".
It was quite humorous.

At the time, I didn't think anything of it.

But on Sunday, on the way to the Bengals' game, he said "And she thinks we're just fishin'."
He wasn't singing, he just said it.

Then I got to thinking. This is kind of our new song. Kind of like for couples, only it's father and daughter.
And I love that.

And then last night when we were talking about where to go to dinner, my dad suggested Fricker's and everyone but me said no.
So I told him that him and I would need to fishin' there together, since no one else in the house likes it.
And of course he chuckled. :)

I've always been close with my parents, but I've never really been a mommy's girl or a daddy's girl.
So it's really nice that my dad and I have this thing.

I hope that when I'm a mother one day I can have a special thing with my children.
Something different for each of them, though.

Do you have anything special with your mom or dad?
What about with your children, if you are a parent?

Fun With Our Phones Monday

Today I'm linking up with Savanah from What Makes Savanah Smile for

This is my first time linking up so I have plenty of photos from my phone.

When my sister was shopping for school clothes, she sent me this:
The dress fell down on the mannequin!! Haha!!

This has been my bed since construction started in the basement.
I miss my full-size bed.

This box is on a shelf above the trash can at work! Talk about needing a drink!

My car hit 83,000 miles as I pulled it into my driveway.

My first Christmas gift that I bought this season.

This is part of the reason why I love Ohio in the Fall.

I bought Sister some socks that have both of her school colors for Spirit Day.

The big hole that was cut into the side of our house for the egress window we're putting in my bedroom.

That's all I have today, but hopefully I can link up again next week for more fun!

My First NFL Game

I may be 25, but I've never been to an NFL game...

...until today.

Today, my dad and I went to the Bengals vs. Colts game.

And it was awesome!!!

We were on the 40 yard line behind the Bengals.

Who Dey!!!

The Ben-Gals did a little show before the game.

The Colts won the toss up and deferred.

The game was so much fun to watch.
The Bengals scored on their first possession and we were immediately in the lead.
There were a few turnovers and the first quarter ended 7-0 Bengals.
At the end of the first half, the score was 10-7 Bengals.

The game was pretty uneventful until the 4th quarter.
The score got to 20-17 Bengals, and the Bengals had just turned the ball over to the Colts.
The Colts completed a pass just outside of their red zone, and as we were tackling him, they lost control of the ball and we grabbed it and ran it for a touchdown.
It was such an awesome play!!
Of course the play went under review because some people thought he was down before he lost control but the play stood and we got our extra point and won the game 27-17.

I had so much fun actually being at the game versus watching it on television.
Here are more pictures of the game that I took.

I hope you all had great weekends!
