Friday Night Date Night

This weekend was pretty low key, but Love and I had a little bit of a date night on Friday.

We went to dinner at Pizza Hut and got the $10 Dinner Box.
These are the leftovers.
There was a lot of food and we couldn't finish it between the two of us.

Our drinks

We were the only ones in the restaurant.

Afterwards, we went to The Greene for dessert.
Yum! I got chocolate frozen yogurt with lots of Reese's!!

I love date nights. Especially impromptu ones!

The rest of the weekend for me wasn't as fun, as I worked Saturday and helped clean the house Sunday.

How was your weekend?

I Got A Package!

So I totally forgot to tell you all about the package I got last week!

I've recently become a pen pal to a lovely lady named Jamie.
She sent me a package a few things, and I'm loving everything in it!

A Valentine's Card and a note

Adorable Stationery

Nail files and polish
Hair bands
Coffee cozy

One of the first things I did was paint my nails.
But I don't have a picture of it.

Every Tuesday I have a coffee night with 4 other lovely ladies and I used my cozy and I now keep it in my car, just in case.

I'm so excited to have a pen pal, and I can't wait to see where our relationship goes!

Introducing, Me!

Hello, lovelies.
Sorry, this is so late, but tonight I'm linking up with Neely at A Complete Waste of Makeup for an introduction post about me!

To start, this is me!

I'm Jessica and this here is my blog.

The main reason I started blogging was to document my life. I didn't care if anyone read it, I was just glad to have a place to write it all down. I thought about a journal, but I type faster than I write, so I figured a blog was a better route to go.

What I didn't know was that there was this amazing community of other bloggers. I feel like blogging is a great escape because the person reading your blog isn't looking directly at you, but more at your personality and soul. If you don't know, I'm pretty self-conscious and I feel like a lot of people judge me, even if they don't, and when I blog I don't feel that way.

I currently live in Dayton, with my dad and step-mom so I can save money.

I just started a new job today at TJ Maxx as the full-time Customer Experience Coordinator. I basically run the service desk. I really like working at TJ Maxx and my coworkers are amazing. I don't think I would ever transfer to another store because of how much I like who I work with.

I have an Associate's Degree in Marketing Management, and I hope to eventually earn my Bachelor's Degree. I would love to move up at TJ Maxx into Management or possibly higher into their Marketing department.

I am 25 years old, and I have the most amazing boyfriend ever! (I know, we all say that, but mine is truly amazing!) This is my love.

We've been together for almost 4 years. (5/19/08) He is the youngest of 4 boys and he acts so childish sometimes, he wonders how I'm still with him. There are so many little things that he does for me and I can't help but go weak at the knees just thinking about him. I don't know what I would do without him. I am head over heels in love with him, and one day we're going to get married.
We just need to get engaged first. ;)

I don't have any children, but I do have a cat.
His name is Shadow and I love him as though he is my child. He is 6 years old and has the longest hair and tail ever! He is pretty much all black, except he has a white spot on his neck and on his belly between his two back legs. He is one of the calmest cats I've ever had and he loves to cuddle with me at night.

Here is a list of words that best describe me:
Brunette
Brown eyed girl
Lover
Kind
Friendly
Patient
Listmaker
Photographer
Safe
Short
Happy
Furmom
Girlfriend
Friend
Daughter
Sister
Niece
Aunt
Cousin

I hope you all enjoyed my intro post!
If you haven't already, link up with Neely and introduce yourself!

A Blog Award? Awesome!

So I was given a blog award by the lovely Jennifer at What's Mine is Yours.

According to Jennifer, "Liebster" is a German word that means "favorite" or "dearest".
The award is meant for up-and-coming bloggers with less than 200 followers.

Rules of this award:
-Thank your award presenter on your blog.
-Link back to the blogger who presented you with the award.
-Copy and paste the award on your blog.
Present the Liebster Award to 5 blogs that have fewer than 200 followers that you think deserve to be recognized.

Thank you so much Jennifer, for thinking of me!
This truly is a great award and I'm so glad to be able to share it with others!

Last Weekend

I just realized that I never told you about my super busy weekend last week.

On Friday, Love and I had a date night.

All we really did was hang out together, go to the mall and dinner.
But it's great just to be able to spend time together.

On Saturday, I worked in to the morning, then I went and watched my brother wrestle.

He is the one in red.

He had 5 matches.
2 byes, 1 win, 1 forfeit, and 1 loss.

He was pretty upset that he lost in the final round, but he fought really hard.

After leaving the meet, I just spent the evening relaxing.

On Sunday, I worked until about 12:30 and then I was on the go from there.
I stopped at Kroger and bought vegetables for the two places I had to go.

First I went to my grandma's.
She had some news for us, but I'm going to hold off on telling all of you until after this week.

From there I went over to my friend's apartment for another friend's "Unbachelorette" Party.
(Unbachelorette because she is already married.)
Huge margarita glass with chalkboard paint.
Nicole's idea stolen from Pinterest.

The theme was wine and cheese.

Cheese fondue that Nicole made.
It was delicious!

Chocolate fountain.

Yelling "Surprise!" when Christine walked in.

All the ladies, minus me.

The food! We had so much leftover, but it was all so good!

Nicole was asking Christine innocent questions that had dirty answers, such as "Does Manny like his pretzels hard or soft?"

We played Taboo.

It was quite the fun night.

All of these ladies are some of my favorite to hang out with.
They are quite spectacular.

Now that the "Big Game" is on, I'm going to watch all the commercials. ;)

Are you watching for the game or the commercials?
Who do you want to win?

New Adventure...

Last Wednesday, I posted about the possibility of a new job.

After doing this:

 and this:

And coming up with this:

I have decided to take a job offer at TJ Maxx.

I've been working there part time since October.
I've thought long and hard about this decision, and only did I talk to a coworker last week did I fully consider it.
And today I put in my "2 weeks" notice (next Friday will be my last day).

I do have mixed emotions about leaving the credit union, though.
I'm glad to have a new adventure, but I feel like I'm letting them down.
In the end, taking the offer is the best for me in the long run.
And right now, that's all I really need to worry about.

Hopefully with this new job, I will have a little bit more time, so I can focus a little bit more on this here blog. :)
