I Have A Button!!!!

Yes! Finally!! I have a button!
And you can add it to your button collection (if you have one) or add it just because!

Here it is!!
Dream More
I will be adding buttons to my blog at some point, but I haven't gotten around to it just yet.
I hope you're enjoying your Monday!

Stuck on an Island

1. Tell us, if you could only take 5 people with you to a deserted island, who would it be, and why?
I would take Zach, my dad, my mom, and my friends, Chris and Bridgette. Zach is a no brainer. If I’m stuck on this island for the rest of my life, I would want to be with my love. My parents are awesome. My dad is a handyman and is a very good judge of his surroundings, and my mom, well, she’s my mom. Even though they’re divorced I would still want them both with me. Chris and Bridgette would help keep me sane. These two, Zach and myself always have a fun time together.

2. Show us which island you'd like to be deserted at.
I would love to be deserted either here:
Bahamas
or here:

U.S. Virgin Islands

3. Tell us, if you could only bring 3 items with you, what would those items be. And why?
Well, I would definitely take clothes, shoes, and toiletries. I know I should probably choose specific items, but if I really did end up on a deserted island, I would be stuck with what I had on me, right?

4. Show us 3 pictures that you would take with you.
Zach and I

My siblings

My Shadow

5. Tell us what you envision life would be like on that island. Do you think you would go into survival mode? Would you be like those Survivor people and eat bugs? What qualities do you possess that would help you survive?
I like to think that the first week wouldn’t be so bad, but as time went on, I would probably go stir crazy. Zach probably would have driven me crazy, by the end of the second week. I would most likely go into survival mode the first day, gathering logs, building a fire, and finding food. If bugs were the only food, I would fry them and eat them.

What would you do on a deserted island?

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

On October 20, I will be participating in a 5K walk for Breast Cancer.

My friend's mother is a survivor and they've been doing this walk for years.
This is my first year to walk, but I hope to keep doing it every year.

Each one of us has a goal to raise money.
My goal is $100.

I would really, really, REALLY appreciate it if you could help me reach my goal!
Even if it's just $1.00, every little bit helps!

If you can't at this time, I totally understand!

You can visit my page here.
And this is our team page.
You can donate right on my page and it is 100% secure.

Please consider donating for the cure!

Show & Tell: High School Edition

Today I'm linking up with Becky for Show & Tell.
I'm really liking this link up and I think I'm going to try and do it every week! :)

1. Tell us what kind of student you were in high school {popular, nerd, sport obsessed, choir, etc}.
I was the quiet one. I didn't really have a lot of friends but I got along with everyone.

2. Share with us some high school pictures. We know you have them somewhere.
Okay, okay. But you're only getting 3.
Senior Picnic
Senior Prom
Graduation
The only pictures I have on my computer are from my Senior year.

3. Tell us about your school. Private? Public? How many in graduating class? Mascots? School colors?
I actually went to two different high schools. My freshman and sophomore year I went to public school. My class was somewhere around 500 or so students, and the colors were blue and white.
V-I-K-I-N-G-S. Go, go Vikings.
My junior and senior year I went to and graduated from private school. My graduating class was 238 and the whole school was 900+ students. Our colors were blue and green.
Eagles! Eagles! Go! Fight! Win!

4. Tell us about some of your favorite memories of high school. Or what stands out the most? Any teachers? Specific classes?
My junior year, I had the weirdest math teacher ever. She was a little loopy, but I learned the most from her. She challenged you. She knew what you were and were not capable of. Her favorite thing to say was "If I didn't think you could do it, I wouldn't assign it to you." And best of all, is she had my dad when he was a freshman.
But I think my favorite memories are from dances. My junior year, my boyfriend (at the time) and I went to Prom and he promised one of his friends a dance. The last dance had come and he still hadn't danced with her so I told him to go since he promised. About a minute into the song, he comes strolling over and takes my hand. Because it was the last song of the night, she didn't want to keep him away from me. I thought that was so sweet of her!

5. Tell us a piece of advice you would pass on to your children or any child entering high school.
Don't be afraid to join clubs or sports. I didn't join any, but I wish I would have. Especially if you're new. They're a great way to make friends and meet new people.

How was your high school experience?
Link up with Becky so I can see! ;)

Dear Thoughts

Photobucket

Dear Brain,
Thanks overanalyzing unimportant things. Freaking out is something I love to do.
(Sarcasm finished. Promise.)

Dear Work,
I'm so glad I was able to get a lot of my to-do list finished this week.
I know I'm off today so I can't cross more off, but I'll be back at it tomorrow.

Dear Random Customer,
You made my week yesterday.
After my shock and surprise, I was able to laugh about it and even blog about it! :)

Dear Friday,
I love your weather today. Cloudy and breezy and I don't have to be stuck at work for it?
Awesome!

Dear Zach,
Thank you for keeping me sane. You are amazing.
I don't know what I would do without you.
I love you so very much.

Love always,

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know it's almost 11pm, but today at work I took a customer call that took the cake on all the 'weird shit' that has ever happened to me.

The person on the phone was a man looking for blue dresses in a 5/6.
The only stipulations about the dresses were that they had to be sleeveless and fall above the knee.
Okay, fine. This is nothing out of the ordinary.

I went to see if we had any and found 2 different ones.
I get back on the call and describe the dresses to him.
He proceeds to ask me if the dresses would be appropriate for a 52 year old woman.
Yes, I believe so.

Wait for it.....

"Thank you, ma'am. I have someone who wants to work for me as an escort for Bachelor parties and whatnot, just trying to make money. She has a Bachelor party tomorrow and needs a blue dress by then."

I kid you not.
It was everything I could do to not burst out laughing while on the phone with this man.

I kept my composure and my shock to myself because I didn't know if he was being serious and I didn't want to offend him.
I mean, seriously! What would you have done?? I can't even fathom what I would have done had this happened face-to-face.

Any 'weird shit' happen to you lately?

Sunday Social

Sunday Social

Today I'm linking up with Neely and Ashley for Sunday Social.

1. What is the name of your blog and how did you come up with it?
Dream More. I have a canvas quote in my room that starts with those two words.
You can read about my change up here. :)

2. What do you love the most about blogging?
I love that I can write about anything. I love that I can vent, when necessary. I love that I can meet new people, even if it is just through the Internet.

3. What are your 2 favorite posts you've written?
Wedding Weekend Recap: I had so much fun that weekend, and I only hope my wedding will be that fun.
Sunday Digging: My dad and I really bonded over this experience and I wouldn't change it for the world.

4. What is something you'd want to tell someone just starting out in blog world?
It's okay if you don't have that many followers. Blogging is not about who reads it, it's about you opening up so that people can read your thoughts.

5. Biggest blogging learning experience you've had?
I've learned that you can connect with people all over the world. Even if it is just through the keyboard.

6. Give us 3 blogs we NEED to be following that you love.
Well, mine, duh! ;)
Erin at Love, Fun and Football
Tricia at Happily Ever Awkward

You should do this also. Link up with Neely and Ashley so I can see your answers. :)

Happy Birthday Sister!

Today is my baby sister's birthday.
She is 16 years old!!
OMG!! I feel old!

Tonight she got to pick dinner and we drove out to Greenville to a place called Maid-Rite.

It was delicious!
I sadly didn't get a picture of my food, but the sandwiches are like ground beef on a bun.
They have a gum wall, which is more like a gum building. There is gum all around the building.

She was looking at what people had done with their gum.

Sister added to the gum wall.
This place was a fun little place.

I want to go back, wouldn't you?

On our way back home we stopped at Coldstone. Yum!
I'm so full from Maid-Rite and Coldstone, I could blow up!

Labor Day Link Up

Happy Labor Day!
Are you enjoying an extra day off work, or are you stuck working?

Since I have the day off, I decided to do a link up.

1. Tell us what you are looking forward to this fall.
There are many things I'm looking forward to this fall.
~Bonfires
~Leaves
~Football
~Much more

2. Show us your fall style.
I don't really have a fall style, but if I did it would look something like this:

3. Tell us your favorite things to do in the fall.
I know it's more of a summer thing to do, but I love going putt-putt in the fall. I love it in the evening when the sun is setting and the leaves are falling, it's just beautiful.

4. Show us your favorite fall beverage.
I don't really have a favorite fall beverage, but my favorite food is pumpkin pie!
via google images
This year I'm making it my goal to try Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte.
via google images

5. Tell us, how you will be participating in Halloween this year. Plans? Costume ideas?
Zach and I don't really do anything on Halloween. In previous years we've passed out candy and just enjoyed ourselves. It would be nice to go to a Halloween party, but we don't really know anyone that throws them.

Link up with Becky so I can read your answers. :)

My Weekend So Far

Seeing as how it is Labor Day weekend, it is extra long.
Although I work a retail job, I do get tomorrow off. Yay.

Yesterday was an interesting day.
I was scheduled to work 7 to 4, but I only worked until 3.
Since I was really close to 40 hours for the week, my manager let me leave early.
I definitely didn't argue with her. :)
Since Zach worked until 5, I stayed in the area and shopped.
There's a new place called Five Below and it's pretty neat.
Everything is $5 and under.
I didn't buy anything, because it was really busy and I was getting frustrated with people, but I want to go back on a weekday and look around.

After Zach got off work, I met up with him and he went his niece's 2nd birthday party.
It was Sesame Street themed and really cute.
She got quite the haul.

Birthday Girl

This was delicious!

The kids drawing for her birthday.

Opening presents

More presents

She loved her TY bears from Uncle Zach

More bears.
Had I not had a headache all day, I would have enjoyed myself more.
But I did have fun.
When we left we stopped at Wendy's and got me a Frosty and spent the rest of the evening relaxing.

Today has been a lazy day.
I went to Meijer twice. (Once by myself and once with my dad.)
Then I just laid around and watched Sweet Home Alabama and Big Brother.

Tomorrow is going to be another lazy day.

How has your weekend been so far?
