This past weekend was so. much. FUN!!!!
I didn't want it to end!!

Zach and I booked our caterer!
We went and had a tasting and everything was so good!!

We only tasted the Awesome Pot Roast (which was awesome!), Christy's Chicken (which I thought was good, Zach not so much), and their Potato Casserole (which I thought was fantastic, Zach not so much).
He was really tired when we went and wasn't too fond of me taking his picture.
After tasting we talked about the menu and went over the different options and dishes and I just wanted more food! #fatgirlstatus
We left there happy that they were booked.

I didn't really do much on Saturday.
It was my day off, and I was using it to relax and get a few things ready for Sunday.

Did this day have to end?
Zach and I reserved a park shelter and had a cookout with our families and bridal party.
Kind of like and engagement party, but not really.
It was also a "meet everyone" party.

And of course, me being the person I am, wanted pictures!

New Friends

It was such a great day.
Although it was close to 90 degrees, the breeze kept it cooler.
Everyone had a great time and there was plenty of food!
Apparently our little flower girl kept talking about it even after they left! How cute is that?!?

Was your weekend amazeballs, too?

Summer Self Love Link Up!

Is there a bad blogger award? Because it should totally go to me.
It's been almost 2 weeks since I posted and caught up on blogs.

Moving on.

My friend Christine is hosting the Summer Self Love Link up all summer and I'm doing my best to participate every Friday!
And you should too!!

Today I am loving...

...that Zach and I have less than a year until our wedding!!!

...that we have our first taste testing with our prospective caterer tonight!

...that I was able to spend the evening last night with my grandparents!

...that I had my 2nd of 3 workshops for work. One more step to promotion!

...that I was able to try the S'mores blizzard at Dairy Queen. YUM!

...that I found these for my new favorite snack. YUM! (again)

...that I found a decent mini cupcake pan at a garage sale for 50 cents.

...that I remembered to prepare this post. Unlike last week...

...that YOU my friends still stick around when I don't post for 2 weeks. THANK YOU!!

What are you loving today?

Mustache Bash

Why does the weekend have to leave us so quickly?
I had a pretty awesome weekend, and I seriously didn't want it to end!

Saturday, there were 2 birthday celebrations.
The first one was for Zach's niece, who turned 7 on June 3rd.

She had a mustache themed birthday.
Everyone who came had to wear a mustache, and everything was decorated with mustaches.
1. Zach called ours the Tom Tucker (from Family Guy) and the Eamon Queeney (one of his groomsmen).
2. Our adorable flower girl.
3. Zach and two of his brothers.
4. All four Moore brothers
5. The nieces and nephews
6. Kara LOVED the beanie buddy Zach and I got her.
The whole backyard was decorated and there were mustaches everywhere!
I wish I would have got more pictures of the whole place.

After her party, Zach and I went back to his house and I went home.
We had family dinner that night, but Zach had stuff to finish for his internship so he didn't come over.
But we also celebrated my sister's birthday, who turned 22 on June 4th.
1. Cake!
2. Singing "Happy Birthday"
3. Blowing out the candles
4. Nephew!

I enjoy days like this, where I can spend it with family.

Sunday wasn't as eventful.
I worked in the morning, then in the afternoon I spent some time catching up with old friends.
It was really nice.
Definitely need to catch up more often!

And, this weekend, Zach created a blog called Stories from the Road.
Here is what he has to say about it:
"I would like to announce that I have started a personal blog that will tie together my poetry, my writing process and the many stories that are connected with it. In the blog I will discuss my process in creating poems including the inspiration of certain works, retelling of memories and stories that were precursors to the work and lastly the poetry itself. I hope you all can join me on this new journey and this new project and find something fantastic within it. Thank you all so much for your continuing support."

Go follow it! :)

How was your weekend?

Summer Self Love

My friend Christine has started a new link up called Summer Self Love, and she's asked me to be apart of it!

From her about the link up:
"I was thinking recently about how I (and lots of women I know) are so much more self conscious during the summer when all the cute, trendy clothes leave so. little. to the imagination. SO, I've decided to host this link-up to give us (and any gentlemen that want to participate!) an outlet to congratulate and remind ourselves of our awesomeness without feeling guilty!"

So without further adieu:

Today I'm loving.... straightened hair and cute outfit.
...that I was able to post 4 times this week!
...that I worked out this week.
...that I'm making progress on my goals.
...that I haven't had fast food all week.
...that I've been taking my vitamins everyday.
...that I remembered to prepare this post!

What are you loving about yourself today?

Goals for May? How about June?

So I just remembered that I made goals for May.

Let's recap, shall we?

1. Read two books.
I'm currently in the middle of one book, but I want to finish it and read another.
Nope! I'm still reading the first book.

2. Book the caterer.
I know there's over a year before our big day, but my dad knows the owner of a great catering service in the area and he said if we book him soon, he'll reserve this year's prices for next year for us.
Nope, again. Zach and I decided as long as it was done by our cookout at the end of June, we're good!

3. Keep my room clean for longer than a day.
It seems like every time I clean my room, it's only clean for a day. I want to try and make it a week!
Well, I did keep it clean longer than a day, but not a full week. So I call this a success!

4. Work closer and closer to promotion.
I've been doing this, but I don't want to make "Get Promoted" my goal because I know it's a slow process. So I'm going to keep working at it. And if I get promoted before June, then great!
Sure! I haven't been promoted yet, but I feel like I've made progress toward that goal.

5. Celebrate our 5 year anniversary!
This is pretty self-explanatory. :)

Now for June's Goals:

1. Read two books.
Again, I'm putting this here, because I am determined to get those 2 books read!

2. Book the caterer.
Our cookout is June 23, and Zach and I want our caterer booked before then.

3. Work closer and closer to promotion.
Yes, again, this is on here, and it probably will be until I'm promoted.

4. Plan for our cookout.
There are so many details we still need to hash out. We just have the place, time and guests figured out.

5. Enjoy our cookout.
Our families are meeting for the first time and I just hope it all goes great.

How did your May goals go?
Do you have goals for June?

Faith Elizabeth

I love you.
You are an amazing, sweet, smart, caring and beautiful woman and I am proud to be your sister.
I'm so grateful that you want to be apart of my wedding from the planning, to being by my side at the altar.
I can't wait to be able to return the favor someday, when you find your one true love.
I can't believe you're 22 today!
It seems like just yesterday we were kids playing with Barbies.
And watching the video from right after you were born: "I wanna hold the baby!"
You are a beautiful person, inside and out, and I can't wait to see what life has in store for you.
I love you, sissy!
Happy 22nd Birthday!

Every year, a local town near here has a strawberry festival.

I've never been until this year.
One of my bridesmaids invited me to go with her and her boyfriend and his brother.
It was fun!
These are the only pictures I got.

Apparently, this festival is famous for its strawberry donuts. And they are good donuts!
We got in line for them, and waited about 15 minutes total.
I saw a sign that said the line used to be 2 hours long.
I don't think I would have waited that long, no matter how good they are!

How was your weekend?

P.S. Like the new design?! I LOVE it! You should really contact Erin if you're looking for in the market for a new design!

That One Time... Goddaughter turned 4.

Princess' birthday was May 27, but her party was on the 25th.
The party was princess themed.
Princess all dressed up!
There was dress up clothes all around for the kids to wear, and a picture on the wall for them to get their picture in front of.

The only kids that came were her 2 cousins.
And they were all so cute!

They started twirling together and it lasted for about 5 minutes before they all went outside.

Then Mamaw and Papaw had a huge present.
She LOVES it!! I was told that she won't stop driving it.
She opened the rest of her presents inside, then it was time for cake.
I think I was most excited for this cake.
I mean, seriously! Look at this cake!
And the castle and princesses are plastic so she can play with them after they're cleaned.
It was delicious!

It was a cute party and the kids were so excited.
The only thing was that they argued about was who was going to drive the Escalade.
Other than that, they just had a ball.
