You guys. It is finally FRIDAY!! I have been looking forward to today since the workday ended on Monday and it's finally here!!

1. This week has been awful. I've been so busy at work and dealing with the meanest people. I get off an hour earlier than usual today so my weekend gets to start a smidge sooner!

2. I ordered the 21 Day Fix and it's supposed to be delivered today! I can't wait to start this program and feel even better about myself!

3. Zach and I have plans to go to the drive-in tonight, if the weather cooperates, and we're going to see Jurassic World and Pitch Perfect 2.

4. I can't believe it's already almost half way through the year! Yesterday marked 6 months until Christmas.

5. This week Zach and I have been spending some quality time at the pool doing some night swimming. I like it better because it means less people and Zach and I move all around the pool. I find it to be a nice alternative to the gym, but it won't be like that for long.

Happy Friday!!

5 on Friday

I haven't done one of these posts in awhile so why not get back into them now? :)

1. It's Friday! And I get off at 5:30 instead of my usual 8pm, so I can get my weekend started sooner!
2. I work my first 10 hour Saturday tomorrow, but I'm not complaining. It's overtime so my paycheck will look really great having those extra 10 hours!
3. I have the best Father's Day gift for my dad this year and I know he's going to love it!
4. I'm really considering the 21 Day Fix program to help me with both fitness and healthy eating/portion control. I want to do a blog post about it and track my progress here if I do start the program.
5. Tomorrow night I'll be going to a Dragons game with my friend, her parents, and her daughter. Her daughter will be participating in some of the between innings activities.

In honor of Father's Day being this weekend, I'll leave you with a picture of my dad and I being goofy about 5 years ago.
And that is my baby brother giving bunny ears.

Happy Friday!

Anniversary Getaway: Part Two

Did you miss part one? Check it out here!

Sunday morning we got up and showered and ate breakfast at the hotel.
We had planned on spending the day in Put-In-Bay and we did just that.

We rode the ferry over to the island and rented a golf cart to get around.
We found another neat candy shop and Zach bought a lot more taffy. They had multiple sizes of jawbreakers and this one was huge!

We walked around downtown Put-In-Bay and the Boardwalk.
It was Founder's Day there and they had a little fair going on in the park.

After walking around, we got back in the golf cart and made our way to the only mini golf course on the island.
This is one of my favorite courses. It's surrounded by trees and nature and this time we weren't waiting on anyone.

This also started a new tradition for Zach and I: The Moore Anniversary Mini Open.
We go to two different courses and whoever has the least strokes after both courses is the winner.
This year I won by 7 strokes.
My trophy was mini magnetic snow globe.

After finishing the course, we got back into the golf cart and explored the island some more.
We found some hidden beaches and I got a few shots of the lake.

We decided to start heading home earlier than planned, but we did everything we wanted in less time than we thought it would take.
As we were waiting for the ferry to take us back to the mainland, it started raining and just as we were all getting on the ferry it rained harder and at an angle. By the time I sat down on the ferry, my whole right side was soaked, but my left side was dry as a bone. Luckily we were heading home when we got back so I didn't care too much.

We drove the 3.5 hours and made it home by 8 Sunday night.
Being the traditionalist I am, once we got home, we relaxed a little before pulling out our wedding cake.
We had a cupcake cake at our wedding, but I made sure to have a top tier to save for our anniversary.
We both ate a couple of bites, and it actually wasn't that bad. It still tasted like cake and icing, but you could definitely taste that it had been frozen for a year.

This year's anniversary was wonderful. I can only hope for the rest of them to be just as fun!

Anniversary Getaway: Part One

Sunday was Zach and I's one year anniversary and a few months ago we decided to take a weekend trip up to Lake Erie.
Our first vacation together was to there and we thought it was a great idea to go again for our one year anniversary.

Saturday morning rolled around and we both got up, showered, and hit the road.
We decided to make a stop on our way out of town to one of our favorite coffee houses (even though we barely get to go there) Ghostlight Coffee.

We drove the 3.5 hours north and stopped in Downtown Sandusky and walked around and ate lunch.
When we were walking around, Zach found a really neat candy shop and bought a whole bunch of taffy. We decided to eat lunch outside, and saw a wedding party taking pictures near the fountain.

After walking around a little bit more, we went and checked into our hotel, then went to the Marblehead Lighthouse.
Being a lighthouse it is right on the edge of the lake. The house on the grounds is a museum, but it was closed along with walking up to the top of the lighthouse.

After leaving there, we visited the Goodwill down the street from our hotel (which was really nice, compared to the ones around Dayton), then found a mini golf course across the street from Goodwill.
The course was nice, but we ended up waiting once we finished every hole for the family in front of us that kept arguing.

After finishing the course we walked next door for dinner.
At the table were old Trivial Pursuit cards, that we only knew one answer to.

After dinner we went back to our hotel room and relaxed and watched Harry Potter and Hunger Games on ABC Family.

Happy anniversary to my favorite person in the world, my best friend, my soul mate, and the love of my life.
It's been an amazing year with you by my side and I can't wait for what's to come.

Lake Erie Throwback

This weekend is Zach and I's first wedding anniversary!
We have a small weekend trip planned to Lake Erie/Put In Bay and I cannot wait!
So, in honor of Throwback Thursday, here are some photos from our first vacation together/first time to Lake Erie.
This is one of my favorite pictures of us.

Wedding Day Jitters

Recently, I read the book By Invitation Only by Jodi Della Femina and Sheri McInnis.
It's about a chef (Toni) who is forced to move back home after her restaurant fails and her boyfriend breaks up with her. Right after doing so her best friend (Layla) gets engaged. Throughout the book the narrator tells parts of the story through different characters' points of view. One of the points of view is the future mother-in-law (Didi) of Layla. I was reading one of the segments from Didi's point of view and she was reminiscing about getting ready for her wedding, specifically wedding day jitters. "Didi couldn't help it; she succumbed to the wedding day jitters she's been holding at bay since the engagement. She wasn't sure she loved Henry. She wasn't sure he loved her. Was she making a mistake?..." It goes in from there, but reading those couple of sentences got me thinking about my wedding day and my wedding day jitters. Zach and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary a month before our wedding. By the time our wedding finally got here, I was (and still am) absolutely certain of Zach's love for me and my love for him. We did the traditional no seeing or talking to each other before the wedding and because of that, the only wedding day jitters I had probably weren't even jitters. I just didn't like not knowing what he was thinking. For the last 6 years we knew each other's thoughts and actions, and not knowing his thoughts or feelings that day made me anxious. But the one thing I never doubted for a second was whether or not he would be at the end of the aisle. Seeing him for the first time that day waiting for me was probably the absolute best moment of the day.

Life Update (photo overload)

I love how life happens and this blog gets put on the back burner.
But that's totally okay. I love living life with my family and friends.

So what have I been up to for the last couple of months?
All of this...

Zach and I celebrated Easter with his family and he was the Easter Bunny for the egg hunt.

We celebrated my birthday.

We watched my brother perform in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

Zach and I saw comedian Chris Hardwick in Columbus.

I watched my sister go off to her senior prom.

I watched Zach graduate with his Master's degree.

Zach and I along with my family watched and celebrated my brother getting confirmed in Christ.

We celebrated my brother's 19th birthday.

We celebrated mother's day with all the mothers in our life, and I even got a card from my kitties!

Zach and I celebrated 7 years together and were invited to a Dragons game with friends.

We golfed with my extended family on Grand Lake Saint Marys.

We watched my brother graduate high school.

We watched my sister graduate high school,

then we celebrated!

It has been a busy couple of months and there's so much more life to be lived!
